Paramus High School hires new principal, Dominick Miller, formerly at Roxbury HS

Paramus High School will welcome a new principal this coming school year.

Dominick Miller, who most recently served as the principal of Roxbury High School for the past six years, will now join Paramus High School as its principal this fall. He is replacing Raymond Kiem, who is retiring after 10 years as the school’s principal.

Miller, a former Marine, has spent 23 years in education, including four years as a middle school principal and three years as a high school assistant principal in Roxbury. He also began his career as a middle and high school social studies teacher and coached a variety of sports, including basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, baseball and football.

During his time at Roxbury High School, he helped bring a Sports Medicine Academy and a Structural Design and Fabrication vocational skills class to the school. He was also selected as a New Jersey State School of Character and created a “Principal’s Academies” that supported professional development and teacher learning opportunities.

“His commitment to student achievement and well-being, innovative mindset, and collaborative approach to leadership make him an ideal fit for our community,” said Superintendent Sean Adams in a press release.

Miller said in a press release that he was drawn to Paramus for its “great schools and supportive community.”

“It’s clearly evident that the faculty and support staff genuinely care about their students and the larger school community as a whole,” said Miller. “As I continue my career as an educational leader, I’m excited to partner with all our school’s stakeholders in continuing to achieve great things together at Paramus High School.”

The school plans to schedule meet and greet events with Miller for the school community to get to know their new principal.
