IDAHO FALLS — Bonneville County’s recent decision to transfer its animal shelter services contract to Snake River Animal Shelter (SRAS) — ending its agreement with the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter (IFAS) — is raising concern among some animal lovers that county residents will lose access to the city shelter’s Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR), euthanasia and crematorium programs.
Man facing charges after allegedly jumping in stranger’s car to evade police
IDAHO FALLS – A man has been arrested after allegedly fleeing a crash in a stranger’s car and possessing methamphetamine. Jacob Staggie, 23, faces felonies for attempted robbery and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, as well as misdemeanors for resisting and obstructing, possession of drug paraphernalia, leaving the scene of a property damage traffic accident, reckless driving, and infractions for driving without privileges and having no proof of liability insurance.

The value of being “pressed into service.” It has certainly paid off for the Boise State offensive line. Two years ago, it was still a much-maligned unit, coming off a season that saw the Broncos average just 3.1 yards per carry. Then came the 2022 season opener at Oregon State, and there was redshirt freshman Mason Randolph having to fill in at guard. At UTEP three weeks later, wide-eyed true freshman Roger Carreon had to start at guard, and it did not go well. Well, Randolph ended up being a Freshman All-American and is now one of the O-line’s anchors. And Carreon? That UTEP game was the only one he played that season, but now he’s a mainstay as a returning starter.
