Athletes from around the world are days away from competing in a variety of strenuous summer games and trials as they compete for a chance to win gold for their country.
The 2024 Summer Olympics takes place in Paris with thousands of athletes from more than 200 teams competing.
Here's how to watch and stream the 2024 Olympics:
The 2024 Summer Olympics begins Friday, July 26 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 11.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris, marking the third time the city has hosted the Games. Los Angeles will host the Summer Olympics in 2028.
NBCUniversal will be broadcasting the 2024 Olympics , meaning people will also be able to stream every event on Peacock .
Olympic fans will be able to create their own schedule this year through Peacock's in-app personalization preferences, pre-built playlists to track specific athletes and multi-view to watch up to four sporting events at once.
Here's what's included in Peacock's Olympic app:
- How to create a personalized Olympic schedule: Click "Olympics Schedule" and then add the events of your choice to "My Stuff."
- Playlists : Top athletes such as Sha'Carri Richardson , Katie Ledecky or Simone Biles will be pre-built for users to add to their app.
- Discovery Multi-view: Watch up to four sports at once. Indicators in red will signal whether it's a medal event, an elimination risk or a first-time Olympian competing.
- Bonus for those with Roku TVs : An app should have already appeared on your home screen, "Paris 2024," that will take you straight to your Games homebase.
The Opening Ceremony will air live on NBC and stream live on Peacock and NBCOlympics.com on July 26 beginning at 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
NBC's "Primetime in Paris," hosted by Mike Tirico , will air beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and offer analysis of the day's events with a focus on Team USA. Rapper and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg will also make appearances on behalf on NBC during the primetime block.
The primetime broadcast will air nightly until the closing ceremony on Aug. 11.
NBC released tentative TV listings to give fans a general idea of what's to come this year.
