PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING OF PARK COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION. PURSUANT TO C.R.S. 39-8-104 Notice is hereby given that between July 1, 2024 and July 23, 2024, the Park County Board of County Commissioners, acting as the County Board of Equalization (CBOE), will review the assessment roll of all taxable property located in the County of Park, as prepared by the Assessor, and hear appeals from determinations of the Assessor. The meetings will be held in the Commissioners’ regular meeting room, located at 856 Castello Avenue, Fairplay, Colorado. Hearings will be concluded by the Board no later than the close of business on July 30, 2024 (C.R.S. 39-8-107 (2)).
Town of Fairplay recognizes retiring Park County Manager Tom Eisenman
Mayor Just, the Board of Trustees and Staff of the Town of Fairplay recognized retiring Park County Manager Tom Eisenman for his 25 years of distinguished service at their June 3, 2024 regular meeting. Just and those in attendance gave Eisenman a round of applause, thanked him for all he has accomplished, and extended best wishes to him as he nears the end of his career with Park County.

Wildflowers are in full bloom throughout the Rocky Mountains with pink lupines, periwinkle chiming bells and whiplash daisies coloring the alpine slopes. At Staunton State Park, a group of wildflower enthusiasts led by a certified plant master Pam Little, trekked around Dines Meadows and up Mason Creek, stopping frequently to discuss plant names.
DA Stanley testifies at disciplinary hearing
Embattled 11th Judicial District Attorney Linda Stanley took the stand June 18 to testify in her own defense during a professional disciplinary hearing in Denver. State regulators have accused Stanley, the sitting elected district attorney for Chaffee, Custer, Fremont and Park counties, of violating seven rules of professional conduct for attorneys.
