Kiki’s Peak Produce opens new location in Jefferson
Kiki’s Peak Produce’s blue van will be bringing a colorful arrangement of fresh watermelons, cucumbers, baked goods, jams, pickles and more to Jefferson this summer. Located right off Highway 285 and County Road 35 next to the Hungry Moose Caboose, the produce stand added the new location to their current rotation in Alma and Fairplay, expanding the operations of the highest produce stand in North America to meet the needs of more Park County customers.

Driver caught speeding at nearly 130 mph in Colorado
The Park County Sheriff's Office recently pulled over a driver going 128 mph, according to a post on its Facebook page. The maximum speed limit on any Colorado highway is 75 mph. South Park Food Bank to host first annual Donkey Duck Derby
South Park Food Bank, inspired by Summit Foundation’s Great Rubber Duck Race over the pass, is planning its first annual Donkey Duck Derby. The first race is set for Jul. 27 on Burro Days weekend at noon. The location of the event will be at Sacramento Creek Ranch in Fairplay. Donkey duck purchases are now available at Even in the End Liquor Store in Fairplay for $5 a duck. There are also deals on the ducks including 6 ducks for $25 and 10 ducks for $40. All proceeds from donkey duck sales will benefit the South Park Food Bank’s building fund. 700 ducks are available for purchase and the grand prize winner will win $500. There is also a prize for second place, $300 and a prize for third place, $200.
Pine Country Feed & Pet Supply welcomes new owners
Bailey residents for over twenty years, Jason and Tracy Schell were frequent customers of Pine Country Feed & Pet Supply. When they heard the previous owners Dave and Kathryn Hoffman were retiring, the Schell’s decided to jump on the opportunity. Having been looking to run a business in the area for a while, they officially took over the lease this May. Since the local feed and pet supply store has passed into new hands, the new business owners have been taking it all in stride, quickly learning how to fit the unique needs of their Park County clientele with fresh ideas for the feed store already in the works.
