There are six headline acts performing at Flambeau-Rama from Aug. 2-4 in Park Falls. There are three days this year with something for everyone in terms of music style.

    FRIDAY, Aug. 2

COPPER BOX starts things off with a performance from 4 to 8 p.m. in the main tent.

The Oshkosh based quartet includes husband and wife Danny and Michelle Jerabek, with Danny playing everything from the button box accordion to trumpet, sax and drums. Michelle is the lead vocalist as well as a saxophone and guitar player. Dan Cable is the drummer and David Jerabek plays bass and backup vocals.

The band plays traditional and infused folk, polka, rock, blues and jazz to transcend periods and genres. The show coincides with the release of the band’s 11 album, self-titled “Copper Box,” with original and cover songs to be performed from the new album.

"This summer has been crazy busy, and we always look forward to playing in northern Wisconsin, because the people are fun and laid back but very much into engaging with the band,” said Michelle Jerabek, “whether it's clapping for solos, cheering after songs, dancing and ready to get up and party and great to talk to after the show!”

    MONIKER

Moniker takes over for the Friday late night show from 8 p.m. to midnight in the main tent. The LaCrosse based band performs high-octane classic rock covers. Jesse Gomez is the lead vocalist, with Clark Lundquist on drums and vocals, Stuart Britson on lead guitar, Cody Wehling, keyboard and vocals, and Nolan Schmidt on bass and vocals.

It's the first Flambeau-Rama appearance for the band, but it’s a home visit for bass player Nolan Schmidt, who returns to perform in front of his hometown while also attending his 20th class reunion.

“To me, playing Flambeau-Rama is my dream show,” Schmidt said. “Growing up and seeing the bands each year was a great experience for me and my first taste of live music. To be able to come back and share that experience with the community I grew up in as well as my family will be nothing short of surreal for me. I can't wait for us to share our talents with Park Falls!”

Schmidt, a self-taught bass player, has played in the LaCrosse area since 2007, with the Whistlejacks and Conscious Limit and a founding member of Moniker, while producing solo albums in the electronic music genre.

    SATURDAY, Aug. 3

SMALL TOWN FAMOUS will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. in the main tent.

Small Town Famous is a rock, country and pop cover band from Mora, Minnesota, who are no strangers to the area. Peter Larsen is the guitarist and vocalist, Mike Faurie is on bass and vocals, and Park Falls native Nick Hoffman plays drums.

Larsen said the band played the Fireman's Stand at the 2023 Flambeau-Rama and thought it was a blast. The atmosphere was great and it was obvious how big this event is for the town.

“Being from park falls, Nick was our tour guide of all the happenings of the weekend,” Larsen said. “We are excited to be back and playing on the main stage this year to add to the fun.”

Hoffman said he has great Flambeau-Ramas memories growing up, from the fireman’s stand burgers, to watching his kids on carnival rides, and beer at the Park Falls Lions Club stand. He has played or watched the softball tournaments and enjoys catching up with friends and family.

“Flambeau-Rama is an experience I look forward to every summer and live music has cemented most of those memories,” Hoffman said. “A ton of great bands have made so many people enjoy the Flambeau Rama experience over the years and we're honored Small Town Famous gets to add to the fun.”

SONIC CIRCUS will perform from 8:30 to midnight in the main tent.

Sonic Circus is an Appleton based band with Scotty Schroeder on drums, Jeremy Martens on guitar, Rico Jaeger doing vocals, and Bradford Putrus on bass. Sonic Circus won the Wisconsin Area Music Industry award for Best Cover Band three times out of four nominations.

Jaeger said the band is very honored and excited to play Flambeau-Rama. The Park Falls area is gorgeous and packed with fun and friendly people.

“We all played in bands in the past that frequented the Park Falls and Butternut area with countless gigs at Grunerwald’s and Idle Wild Resort,” Jaeger said. “We’re looking very forward to ‘coming home’ to the ol’ stomping grounds to Rock-the- Rama!”

    SUNDAY, Aug. 4

ROBBIE VEE - Neo-Rockabilly icon Robbie Vee returns to Flambeau-Rama as the sole performer on Sunday. The second generation Rockabilly Hall of Fame member, as was his father, Robby Vee, he has earned the title "Prince Of Twang.”

Vee bridges generations with his music and the stories from the roots of rock ‘n’ roll and contemporary with a personality that captivates audiences. Over the years Vee has performed on stage with some of the biggest names in rock and roll - earning high praise from the biggest of icons, from Sir Paul McCartney (“These guys could play on any stage”), to Robert Plant (“Great Band, Great show”).

Vee said the band loves Park Falls and Flambeau-Rama.

“We have built up our Sunday crowd over the years with familiar faces — a crowd of rockers that love to dance and celebrate the golden era of rock n roll with us,” Vee said. “It’s a day of rock n roll revival with locals and those that travel from all around for the show, we are proud to say we have been a part of Flambeau-Rama Festival for many years now. We always look forward to it.”
