ST. LOUIS – A registered sex offender living in Park Hills, Missouri, appeared in federal court on Tuesday after being arrested for child sex crimes.

Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said a federal grand jury indicted Reginald M. Miller, 56, on July 10.

Miller was charged with enticement and coercion of a minor as a repeat offender, attempted travel with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct as a repeat offender, solicitation of child pornography as a prior offender, receiving child pornography as a prior offender, transfer of obscene material to a minor, and commission of a felony involving a minor as a prior offender.

Miller pleaded not guilty to all six counts.

Prosecutors said Miller attempted to coerce a minor younger than 15 into engaging in sexual activity, crossing state lines to commit a sex act with someone under the age of 15, soliciting child pornography, receiving child pornography, and sending pictures of his own genitals.

The crimes are said to have happened between Dec. 1, 2023, and April 29, 2024.

If convicted, Miller faces at least 10 years in prison and up to three consecutive life sentences on the enticement charge. The attempted travel charge carries a sentence of up to 90 years. He also faces between 15 and 40 years in prison for solicitation as a prior offender.
