The floodwaters got into the pool, meaning the pool will need to be emptied and deep cleaned before it can potentially be refilled. However, that cannot happen until floodwater completely recedes from the area.

Despite a sprinkling of rain, the Old Fashioned Fourth of July parade drew a big crowd Thursday. The multi-day festival also featured a slate of food, games and live entertainment. The festivities culminate with the annual tractor pull on Saturday.

City of Willmar, officer sued by man claiming wrongful arrest
WILLMAR, Minn. – The city of Willmar and a police officer are being sued by a man who claims he was wrongly arrested and harassed two years ago. Derrick Gilbert of Willmar is seeking $50,000 in damages, claiming he was arrested for “walking while black” in June 2022.
Three file for two Sartell council seats
Three men have filed as candidates for two positions on the Sartell City Council to be decided in the Nov. 5 general election. The candidates are Rustin Deters, Marshall Grams and Pat Lynch.
