(MITCHELLNOW) A Sioux Falls businesswoman, Amy Willis, has been charged with four federal charges including unauthorized entry of a government building resulting from the riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Someone overheard her bragging of being involved in the uprising and reported her to the FBI. The FBI interviewed her about a year after the incident.

One person had to be treated by emergency responders following a residential fire Saturday in Sioux Falls, according to a press release from Sioux Falls Fire Rescue. Petition to send Rapid City Vision Fund changes to the ballot fails after 479 signatures invalidated
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Petitions to refer the Rapid City Vision Fund Revision Ordinance to a vote in November failed to collect enough valid signatures, Rapid City Finance Director Daniel Ainslie announced. A total of 2,707 signatures were required - that number is five percent of Rapid City’s registered voters.
