Marjory Stoneman Douglas Softball Completes Season With Trip to Regionals
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas softball team’s season ended in Regionals after a 1-0 loss against Park Vista High School on Thursday. The Eagles came into Regionals as the seventh seed after losing 6-0 against Coral Glades in the District Tournament. MSD outhit Park Vista 4-2 but were held scoreless for the second straight game. Myah Boleen recorded two hits, while Addison Zajkowski and Camryn Ferro each had one. Victoria Diaz tossed a gem on the mound despite the loss, allowing only one run and two hits in six innings.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Track Shines at Regionals, Celebrates Seniors
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas track and field team had a remarkable season during the Regionals. The boys top result came in the 4 x 100 relay with Sahil Sule, Krish Sule, Connor Stallings, and Ethan Engleman. They finished in 11th place while Stalling also placed 14th in 100 meters and 19th in 200 and 400 meters. Sule impressed in the 110 hurdles, coming in 13th place and 19th in the 100 meters. Austin Khayyami also came in 15th in the long jump and 16th in the triple jump. Matthew Rosenberg and Austin Khayyami also competed individually.
