Rexburg’s youth are in the spotlight in upcoming summer theater camps
REXBURG — The Rexburg Cultural Arts Department is warming up for another round of summer theater camps where campers learn the ins and outs of creating a live production and wrap it up with their own show at the end. There are a few spots left in both the children’s and youth camps. Registration is open and tickets are on sale for the performances at rexburgarts.org.
City of Moscow Seeking Artwork Submissions for 2024-25 Artwalk Season
The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission are now accepting artwork submissions for the 2024-2025 Artwalk season poster. Original artwork submissions are welcomed from artists of all ages. The submission deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, August 2nd. The selected artist and artwork will be featured on the Artwalk season poster and promoted on the city’s website and social media.
Outdoor Concert at UI Arboretum on Monday
The University of Idaho will host a free outdoor summer concert on Monday, July 8th from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The concert will be on the west side of the upper pond in the UI Arboretum on Nez Perce Drive, near the golf course. Dan Bukvich, professor in the Lionel Hampton School of Music, will direct a program of various local musicians.
Spoiling a near perfect day with a crash
It was turning out to be a nearly perfect day. Not too much wind, good temperatures, and light traffic. Nearly perfect … until it wasn’t. Then it sucked. Last Saturday our group of six was riding bikes on country roads north of St. Anthony on our way to Harriman State Park via the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway. Our goal was to do a total of about 100 miles there and back.
