SD Public Utilities Commission to Hold Public Meeting on South Deuel Wind Project
{KXLG – Watertown, SD} The facility is expected to have a capacity of up to 260 megawatts (MW) and may feature up to 68 turbines. Additionally, the project includes installing an approximately 6-mile long, 345 kV transmission line. The project's anticipated cost is approximately $621 million, and it is slated to be operational by December 2026.

The Madison City Commission will meet for their regular scheduled meeting tonight. Among the agenda items will be the approval of a Joint Powers Agreement for Police Assistance between the Madison Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. (Sioux Falls, SD) — People in Sioux Falls are rallying for suicide prevention. The first annual Hailey’s Legacy Rally for Suicide Awareness and Prevention was held downtown over the weekend. It was started by Hailey’s mother, Larissa Strong, who wants to create change for people who struggle with their mental health after her daughter took her own life in February.
