Partial road closures announced near Mountain Brook to have major traffic impact
MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WBRC) - A major road into downtown Birmingham will soon be partially closed due to the Jefferson County Sanitary Project. Over the last year, the city of Jefferson County has worked to replace aged sewer lines throughout the city of Mountain Brook. The work is scheduled to continue along Memory Lane toward Montclair Road. Due to the work, the intersection will partially close Tuesday, July 23 for approximately five days.

According to documents filed late Wednesday night, the City of Birmingham has filed a petition asking to declare the property at 3427 27th Street North as a public nuisance.
