Milton committee to undertake parks inventory
The Milton Parks and Recreation Committee is set to begin an inventory and investigation into existing conditions of the town’s parks. Councilman Scotty Edler, the committee’s chair, said the plan is to use volunteer help with arborist and park management experience to help conduct the inventory. He said as the town continues to expand and grow, the idea is to see what is already in the town’s parks in terms of trees and infrastructure. The ultimate goal is to create a master plan that ties into the town’s comprehensive development plan.

Salisbury Fire Dept. sees increase in calls from this time last year
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Fire Department (SFD) is seeing increasing calls for service. Chief Rob Frampton tells WMDT that compared to the first half of 2023, the department saw a 7% increase in call volume during the same period this year. Although, he says, that’s to be expected.
Victim in Delmar crash, 48-year-old Salisbury man, identified by police
Delaware State Police have identified the man killed in a car crash in Delmar Friday night as 48-year-old King Dona. Around 9:30 p.m., Dona was driving a Subaru Outback south on Providence Church Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Delmar Road, police said in a news release. His vehicle was struck by a Nissan Rogue traveling on Delmar Road.
