Georgetown Public Library hosts mental health first aid training
The Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health held a lite version of their mental health first aid training at the Georgetown Public Library today. It was an hour-long “teaser” of an eight-hour certification process to inform community members on ways they can help someone in a mental health crisis, including a list of resources and crisis responders. Both versions of the training are free for attendees.
Three Juveniles Arrested in Reckless Endangering Incidents in Milford
MILFORD, DE - Milford Police Department arrested three juveniles for reckless endangering and other charges after water pellet shootings. Milford Police say on July 12th, between 10pm and 11pm, the department's Patrol Division responded to three separate incidents throughout the city of Milford where people reported being shot with a hard object from a passing silver sedan. MPD describe this object as a pellet.

Before Emmett Till’s 1955 lynching, a Black teenager in Baltimore faced the same fate nearly a century before. However, Howard Cooper’s story remained relatively unknown until 2018. Cooper, a 15-year-old from the Baltimore area, was accused of sexually assaulting a young white woman in 1885. After days of evading a racist mob, law enforcement found and charged him with assault and rape. While Cooper did not deny the assault, he claimed that he never raped the woman, a charge punishable by death by hanging. One arrested following assault in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man was arrested last week following a reported assault. During the afternoon hours of July 10th, officers were called to the 700 block of Beauchamp Street, meeting with a 57-year-old woman who reported that she had been assaulted by a man who had just delivered items she ordered.

Salisbury City Council considers approval of new cannabis dispensary
