People heading east on Interstate 182 should watch for delays after a crane flipped over in the median on Friday morning.

The crane from a Western Washington company was moving construction materials on the interstate near Road 100 about 8:10 a.m. when it tipped over, Trooper Chris Thorson told the Tri-City Herald.

No one was hurt when it collapsed, and it didn’t block traffic.

However, getting the equipment upright will take another crane. Thorson said that will mean closing two lanes of eastbound highway traffic.

It’s not clear when that will happen. The crane was expected to show up Friday about noon, but hadn’t arrived yet, he said.

It’s expected to take at least an hour to fix the fallen crane once the other equipment arrives.
