    Powerline break leads to electrical emergency in Pasco Thursday afternoon

    PASCO, Wash. -- Officials said several crews were on scene of an electrical emergency Thursday afternoon.

    Officials responded to a call for help just after 2 p.m. on Road 40 and Nixon Street after a powerline broke.

    Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Franklin PUD and Pasco Police responded to the call.

    Roads from Road 36 and Sylvester were blocked by Pasco Police and traffic was getting redirected. Road 40 at the intersection of Road 40 and Nixon Street was also closed to allow crews to work on the powerlines.

    Residents in the area said some people did not have power.

    The cause of how the electrical emergency happened is unknown.

    It's unknown if anyone is hurt.
