Event will feature a new trail map, range of special activities

    – The Paso Robles Distillery Trail is gearing up for Distillery Trail Weekend, scheduled for Aug. 9-11. The event will feature a new trail map and a range of special activities.

As California’s only designated distillery trail, the Paso Robles Distillery Trail includes 13 member distilleries in the Paso Robles wine country and southern San Luis Obispo County. These distilleries represent the region’s prominence as a destination for artisanal whiskeys, brandies, gins, liqueurs, and other craft spirits.

“Distillery Trail Weekend is a unique event bringing the distillers together that are on the Paso Robles Distillery Trail,” Lynette Sonne, Paso Robles Distillery Trail executive director, said, “We want to use this event to raise awareness of the incredible local history that is part of each and every distillery in this county. As the only distillery trail in California, we noticeably aspire to promote our local distilleries and share the news with spirit and cocktail aficionados around the state, country…and the world!”

During Distillery Trail Weekend, attendees can use the new distillery trail map to explore various activities, including distillery tours, special tastings, barrel samples, craft cocktail demonstrations, drink specials, food and spirits pairings, live music, educational still demonstrations, and bottle specials. All activities are free for Copper Card members.

The Copper Card, a new offering in the distillery market, provides guests with an all-access, pocket-sized card that grants VIP experiences and access to the Paso Robles Distillery Trail. Benefits include one complimentary tasting at each distillery on the map, VIP access and drinks for Distillery Trail Weekend, free entry to the Distillery Trail Weekend Kick-off Tasting Event, private tours, tastings, demos, and exclusive releases. The Copper Card, valued at $300, is on sale for $125 and available through Paso Robles Distillery Trail tasting rooms and their websites.

The Paso Robles Distillery Trail, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to promoting local craft spirits and their distilleries. The current member distilleries are Autry Cellars, Azeo, Bethel Rd., Calwise Spirits Co, Donati Spirits, Grain + Vine Craft Distillery, KRObar Craft Distillery, Pendray’s Distillery, RE

Distillery, Rod & Hammer’s SLO Stills, SLO de Vie Distillery, Tin City Distillery, and Willow Creek Distillery.
