Nickelback and special guest Dillon James perform Wednesday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m. on the Chumash Grandstand arena stage.

Nickelback, 2023 Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, was dubbed the “most successful rock band of the decade” by Billboard in 2009. Known for hits like “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” and “Rockstar,” the band—Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Daniel Adair—has sold over 50 million units globally. They are the second best-selling foreign act in the U.S. in the 2000s, behind The Beatles. “How You Remind Me” was Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Song of the Decade’ and the most-played song on U.S. radio in the 2000s with over 1.2 million spins.

Dillon James, born in Bakersfield, California, grew up surrounded by a mix of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Country music. Initially drawn to classic rock, his influences expanded to artists like City and Color, Glen Campbell, and Bob Dylan. Inspired by local legends Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, he developed soulful vocals. Winning numerous singer-songwriter competitions, Dillon briefly pursued acting in Los Angeles before battling substance abuse and homelessness. After overcoming these challenges, he joined American Idol and moved to Nashville to record his debut album. Now signed to Hollywood Records/Universal Nashville, Dillon aims to connect with listeners through his music.

Tickets $58, $98, $138 are on sale now from www.midstatefair.com. The Box Office cannot guarantee the authenticity or validity of any tickets purchased outside the official channel.
