This year, 150 students from Paso Robles and surrounding areas will participate

    – RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate, Paso Robles, announced its 23rd annual Up With Kids Back to School Shopping Spree event will take place on Aug. 10 at the Paso Robles Target Store. This community event supports local students by providing necessary supplies and clothing to start the school year with confidence.

The Back to School Shopping Spree has become a cornerstone event for Up With Kids, reflecting the organization’s commitment to empowering children and families. This year, 150 students from Paso Robles and surrounding areas will participate, each receiving a $150 budget to select their own school clothing and shoes. Each child will also receive a new backpack filled with school supplies.

“Our goal is to ensure that every child starts the school year feeling prepared and excited,” said Fred Bruen, committee member of Up With Kids. “We believe that by equipping students with the tools they need, we are not only setting them up for academic success but also boosting their self-esteem and enthusiasm for learning.”

The event will feature a shopping experience that reflects their community’s caring support. Students will receive a variety of school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, and pencils. Clothing and shoes will be available from Target, ensuring every child can find items they love and feel comfortable in. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a tethered ride in the RE/MAX hot air balloon.
