The Pasquotank Sheriff's Office is searching for four men who shot two juveniles Tuesday with a BB gun — apparently because they didn't like the youths' answer when asked if they like former President Donald Trump.

Major Aaron Wallio said in an email Wednesday that the incident was reported in the 1300 block of Campground Road, in northern Pasquotank County.

According to Wallio, three Black male juveniles were playing in the front yard of a residence when a pickup truck stopped in the roadway in front of them. The truck contained four white males, all of whom were wearing ski masks, Wallio said.

One or more of the occupants asked the juveniles "if they liked Trump," Wallio said.

"When the juveniles responded 'no,' the truck occupants pulled out a BB gun and shot several BBs in their direction," Wallio said.

The fired BBs struck one juvenile in the leg and another juvenile in the buttocks, causing them both minor injuries, he said.

The BBs also broke two windows in the house behind where the youths were playing as well as the window of a vehicle parked outside, Wallio said.

Pasquotank-Camden Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene but the youths refused treatment, he said.

Wallio said the truck the four men were driving in is described as a desert tan-colored Ford F-150 pickup with black rims and a dog box in the back.

The Pasquotank Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about the incident, the pickup truck, or the suspects to call 252-338-2191.
