American Legion Post 238 Celebrates Essay Contest Winners
WOODLAND PARK, NJ - The American Legion Post 238 celebrated Flag Day by honoring the Americanism essay contest winners. "Having these students write about 'What Freedom Means to Me' gives them the foundation to better understand Civics and the importance of Democracy," Mayor Tracy Kallert said. On Monday at 3:25 p.m. an updated air quality alert was issued valid until Tuesday at 11 p.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties. "The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Action Day for the following counties: Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex, and Union From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday. An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards," says the National Weather Service.
