Sparta's Main Street to be Closed for Six Months for 90-Year-Old Bridge Reconstruction
SPARTA, NJ – The Main Street bridge over the Wallkill River is scheduled to be closed to traffic for reconstruction beginning August 5. The third and final phase of the project is anticipated to keep that section of Main Street closed through December 31, 2024, according to Sussex County Division of Engineering. The new bridge will be wider with sidewalks on both sides of the bridge.
