BREAKING: MAGA billionaire Elon Musk is hit with terrible news as former CNN host Don Lemon files a massive lawsuit against him for unceremoniously terminating their agreement for a new show. The legal complaint accuses social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, of exploiting Don Lemon's "good name, likeness, identity, and reputation" to boost their appeal to advertisers and turn a profit. Lemon alleges that he was not paid after the contract was ended, which sounds a lot like Musk imitating the way Donald Trump would often stiff workers for their labor. "Contrary to the promises and representations made to Lemon, once Defendants were enriched and gained the benefits of using Lemon’s name, likeness, identity, and reputation, they reneged on their express agreement with Lemon and have failed to compensate him, citing to false pretenses for their breach of the partnership agreement," the lawsuit reads. Furthermore, the lawsuit explains that X had agreed to pay Lemon $1.5 million a year to create videos for the platform, to share a portion of ad revenue with him, and to deliver extra payment as his following grew. The filing outlines how Musk allegedly told Lemon that he was trustworthy and so they would not need to "fill out paperwork" for a formal agreement. "This case is straightforward. X’s executives used Don to prop up their advertising sales pitch, then canceled their partnership and dragged Don’s name through the mud," stated Lemon's attorney Carney Shegerian. "You don’t have to be a genius to see the fraud, negligence, and reputational damage here. Don’s a hard-hitting journalist who’s committed to defending his good name. We look forward to our day in court," he added. Lemon's show on X was canceled a mere week before it was supposed to launch. The cancellation occurred within a day of Lemon filming a contentious interview with Musk. Musk texted Lemon's agent to cancel the deal.
