We're counting down the days until the start of the high school football season.

The new calendar represents a fresh start for all 39 area schools as a new 'Road to Gillette Stadium' quest gets underway.

Whether it's a young team eager to turn heads or a veteran team out to capitalize on its one shining moment -- like last year's local Super Bowl champions, Duxbury and Milton -- every week will have its memorable moments. The Patriot Ledger and The Brockton Enterprise will chronicle each one with the staff of editor Chris McDaniel , Patriot Ledger reporters Eric McHugh and Jason Snow , and Enterprise reporter Ryan Vermette .
