    League titles on the line: South Shore high school football scores and highlights

    With two weeks left in the high school football regular season, there's plenty on the line for local football teams.

    Weymouth and Needham, both 6-0 heading into Friday's matchup, are fighting for the Bay State Herget Division title and for Division 1 playoff seeding. Bridgewater-Raynham and Dartmouth are playing for the Southeast Conference title.

    Other teams, like Quincy vs. Plymouth South, are fighting for a playoff spot.

    Thursday, Oct. 24

    Abington 34, East Bridgewater 8

    The Green Wave improve to 5-2 while the Vikings fall to 5-2. Five different players scored for Abington in the win (Adam Libby, Nick Vachon, Mason Nash, Ryan Solimini, Mason Nash and Kris Patterson).

    Scituate 56, North Quincy 20

    Willy Robinson ran for 234 yards and two TDs in the win for the Sailors (7-0). MJ Toth added an interception returned for a TD. In the loss for the Raiders (4-3), Mike Galligan threw for three TDs and a school record 329 yards. Marques Rodrigues-Smith (5 catches, 176 yards 2 TDs) and Eric De Lima (5 catches, 77 yards, TD) were his favorite targets De Lima and Pat Connor each had one interception. Brady Craig had two tackles for a loss and Ronan Brown made 10 tackles.

    Friday, Oct. 25

    BC High 34, Saint John's-Shrewsbury 0

    Carter Carroll threw three TD passes in the win for the Eagles (6-0). Gavin Barth had a pair of TD receptions (35, 68 yards) and intercepted a pass on defense. Colin Crowley also had a TD catch. Elijah Donnalson ran for a 15-yard TD.

    Bridgewater-Raynham 27, Dartmouth 9

    The Trojans (4-3) clinched the Southeast Conference title. Jack Lambert threw three TD passes, to Caiden Blake (37 yards), Will Porter Jr. (9 yards) and Dylan Reed (69 yards). Caleb Tripp added a 3-yard TD run. Kaden Barnard and Dashawn Jenkins each had one interception, and C.J. Lopes had two of the Trojans' four sacks.

    Walpole 42, Braintree 7

    The Wamps fall to 2-5.

    Quincy 14, Plymouth South 7

    Nate Goff threw the winning 10-yard TD pass to Jayden Francois late in the fourth quarter for the Presidents (3-4). The Panthers fall to 3-4.

    Needham 21, Weymouth 3

    The Wildcats (6-1) lost in the battle of Bay State undefeateds.

    Carver 35, Hull 0

    Jack Balzarini led the way for the Crusaders (5-2). Balzarini finished 8 of 9 passing for 134 yards and a TD. He also ran for two TDs. Teagan Zakrzewski had a pair of TDs. Carver's defense allowed just 13 yards in the win. The Pirates fall to 2-5.

    West Bridgewater 45, Bourne 42

    The Wildcats (5-3) won a wild one as Ty Holmes had five TDs (4 rushing, 1 receiving) and 290 yards of offense (225 rushing, 65 receiving). Ryan Nunes ran for a TD and threw a pair of TD passes. Colin O'Neil had a receiving TD and 67 yards.

    Duxbury 26, Whitman-Hanson 7

    The Dragons improve to 6-1 while the Panthers fall to 1-6. Duxbury's Jack Rees ran 16 times for 150 yards and a TD, and QB Trevor Jones added 96 rushing yards and a TD on 15 attempts. Jones also was 6 of 8 passing for 94 yards and a TD (to Jack Sovik). Brett Barr (4 carries for 20 yards) ran for a score and had a 42-yard reception. Austin Breheny had a 28-yard TD run for W-H, which got solid defensive games from Johnny Walker (7 tackles, 2 INTs), Matt Lee (2 sacks), Bryan Caliman (sack) Brady Markowski (sack).

    Hanover 48, Pembroke 8

    The Hawks improve to 5-2 while the Titans fall to 1-6.

    Mashpee 28, Cohasset 6

    The Skippers fall to 3-4. Mashpee clinches at least a share of the South Shore League Tobin Division title.

    Canton 51, Oliver Ames 21

    The Bulldogs improve to 5-2 while the Tigers fall to 2-5.

    Hingham 28, Silver Lake 7

    The Harbormen improve to 5-2 while the Lakers fall to 3-4. In the win, Jake Varholak was 9 of 13 passing for 107 yards with a TD. He also turned 3 rushes into 58 yards and 2 TDs (51 and 7 yards). Alex Levy had a receiving TD (13 yards) and returned an interception 60 yards for a score. Ryan St. Croix rushed 18 times for 87 yards.

    Middleboro 31, Rockland 14

    Wyatt Goyette ran for two TDs and threw a 70-yard TD pass to Caiden Carriuolo for the Sachems (2-5). Jacob Nichols had a 5-yard TD run and Tyler Lane-Keefe kicked a 38-yard field goal. Hayden Hatch threw TD passes to Will Carpine (27 yards) and Pat McDonagh (11) in the loss for the Bulldogs (0-7).

    Bishop Stang 35, Archbishop Williams 19

    The Bishops fall to 1-6.

    Foxboro 37, Stoughton 7

    The Black Knights fall to 0-7.

    Sandwich 25, Norwell 22

    Jack Luccarelli had TD runs of 45 and 48 yards and threw a 9-yard TD pass to Joe McCarthy for the Clippers (5-2) in the loss. Shiv Kelly kicked a 32-yard field goal.

    Marshfield 38, Plymouth North 7

    Davin True ran for three TDs to lead the Rams (6-1). Nick Drosopoulos kicked five extra points and drilled a 40-yard field goal. Phoenix Beauregard returned a block punt for a TD. Nate Rollinson threw a 16-yard TD pass to Aidan Summers. Kevin Moreira ran for a TD for the Blue Eagles (3-4).

    South Shore Tech 22, Southeastern 13

    DJ DeCoste ran for 94 yards and two TDs (3 and 1 yards) to lead the Vikings (3-4). Dillon O'Brien returned a punt 70 yards for a TD. Peyton Volz (20-yard catch) and Jary Donnalson (35-yard catch) each scored TDs for the Hawks (1-5).

    Randolph 59, TechBoston 32

    Mehki White ran for 202 yards and four TDs (2 rushing, kickoff and receiving) while Haggai Joseph ran for 102 yards and three TDs for the Blue Devils (6-1). Alin Norsica had 8 tackles and 2 sacks while Zymari Brown made 7 tackles and had an interception. Senecca Spencer ran for a TD, and Abe Cornett threw for 100 yards and a TD.

    Saturday, Oct. 26

    Brockton 21, New Bedford 0

    Luke Turco ran for 165 yards and two TDs to lead the Boxers (3-4).

    St. Mary's 42, Cardinal Spellman 14

    Umarei Murray and Chris Soto both ran for a TD in the loss for the Cardinals (1-6).

    Blue Hills 24, Tri-County 12

    The Warriors improve to 3-4.

    Middlesex at Thayer Academy (1-4), 3

    Milton Academy (1-4) at Lawrence Academy, 4:30
