Police continue push to establish civilian crash investigator program
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — In the future, Asheville drivers may not see a police officer after a minor crash but, rather, a civilian investigator. Police say that of the 8,400 collisions the department responds to, the vast majority result only in property damage. That’s led to the creation of the Asheville Civilian Traffic Crash Investigator Program.
