PRIOR LAKE, MN – Summer fun and magic are not only for children but also for grown-ups. Prior Lake Recreation Department has redefined some fun summer activities to accommodate the grown-up’s need for recreation. The events are ranging from conventional sporting events, esports to yoga with bunnies.

Summer is a prime time for Prior Lake’s residents to go out, have fun, and learn things. While most of the Recreation Department’s summer programs are intended for children, the adults still get a fair share of events that they can enjoy to spend their summer with exciting activities with the community.
In supporting Minnesota Esports Club to promote kids’ education, development, and leadership, the city of Prior Lake is conducting an esports competition. In esports, there are single-player and multiplayer competitive play. It is similar to conventional sport. Sometimes you compete in a team, sometimes by yourself.

In addition to esports, there are 2 softball leagues as well. The first is Men’s/Church Softball League. This league will be on for 12 weeks. The other league is Co-Rec Adult Softball League. This league commences every Wednesday night for 6 weeks.

In addition to the softball leagues, there is a volleyball league. The Co-Rec Volleyball Leagues is divided into the lower-level and upper-level leagues. For the lower-level league, the game is on every Tuesday. While for the upper-level league, it’s on every Wednesday. Both leagues are on for 12 weeks at Sand Point Beach.

Apart from all the competitive sports, the Recreation Department also has yoga sessions. The first is regular yoga with Bailey Sernett, a certified yoga instructor. The other is Bunny Yoga and Hoppy Hour with actual bunnies beside your yoga mat.
