Club Prior Recreation and Resource Center For Adults 55+ upcoming events

PRIOR LAKE, MN – The city of Prior Lake is celebrating the month of August with a series of fun and meaningful events for its elderly residents. The city’s Resource and Recreation Center for Adults 55+ hold some events to keep the golden agers occupied and happy. Through the Club Prior, the recreation center provides Memory Café, hiking, foot care, get-together music, and many more programs and events.

Some programs or initiatives are quite impactful for elderly residents, especially for those who suffer from dementia. Memory Café is one example of it. Club Prior’s café provides a safe and warm place for people with memory loss-related impairment.

The Memory Café was held on every Tuesday on the second week of each month. So, the upcoming Memory Café is on September 14. The Café starts operating at 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Suppose you live very closely with music and play any instruments. In that case, the Acoustics Strum Along is available for you to perform. You can bring your music and share it with others in a very wholesome setting. This event is held every Wednesday of the second and fourth week of each month from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

The Club Prior also provides foot care for $60. The ones doing the treatment are not random people. You will get your foot washed, and your toenails are taken care of by experienced nurses. You must have an appointment to get to the treatment on August 17.

If you seek an adventure, the Club Prior and the Prior Lake Watershed District are challenging you to hike the watershed. You can immediately come, fully prepared, to Spring Lake Regional Park on August 18 at 9:30 a.m.
