Experience Five of Valleyfair's kid-friendly rides

SHAKOPEE, MN - Valleyfair has reopened for the summer after closing for the 2020 season due to health rules. Guess who is the most impatient to return to the park after being reopened? Yes, the children. If you're going back to Valleyfair with the kids after a long period, consider letting them go on these kid-friendly rides and experiences.

1) Barefoot Beach

This splashtopia has no dry areas. Barefoot Beach is a nearly acre-long family-friendly splash pad. This interactive water show with a tipping bucket, slides, and geysers keeps kids and adults entertained for hours. Run through this aquatic wonderland with a pal!

To play, kids must be under 54" tall barefoot. Guests over 54" tall in bare feet must be accompanied by a child under 54" tall.

2) Charlie Brown's Wind-Up

While Charlie Brown winds up for the pitch, kids ride this kid-sized swing ride. You whirl round and round as you soar higher and higher. The 16 swings located in the heart of Planet Snoopy may accommodate up to two guests. The swings are free-hanging and suspended from radial arms by a central pylon. Charlie Brown's Wind Up is guaranteed to be a hit with the little ones!

Riders must be 48" tall. 340 lb per sweep maximum

3) Flying Ace Balloon Race

It's up, up, and away with Snoopy the Flying Ace! Take in the vistas of Planet SnoopyTM from your very own hot air balloon. Flyers run in a circuit around the balloons throughout this two-and-a-half-minute trip. Families may fly together, making this a fun activity for all ages!

Riders must be 48" tall or less with a supervising companion. No infants in arms.

4) Kite Eating Tree

The Kite Eating Tree is a kid-sized counterpart of the iconic Power Tower. Did you know that a kite is a tree's favorite snack? Not all trees, maybe just Planet SnoopyTM. Test your nerves on Kite Eating Tree before going on the big child rides. This is a terrific first ride for kids.

To ride alone, you must be 36-54" tall. Participants over 54" must be accompanied by a child under 54". Weight Limit – 700 lb. One adult per ride.

5) Linus Launcher

Fly up to 10 feet in the air on Linus' blanket when Snoopy grabs it and launches you. Fly and feel weightless the whole way with your feet dangling! Let go and feel like you're soaring. As you fly with Linus, you'll lie on your stomach, feet dangling behind, tilting up and down. Guests of all ages will enjoy the sensation of free flight on this family ride.

Riders must be 42" tall or accompanied by 36". 275 lb max per gondola One adult per gondola.
