O’Hern to serve as president and CEO of WVU Medicine East
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Albert L. Wright, Jr., president and CEO of the West Virginia University (WVU) Health System announced today the appointment of Mark O’Hern as president and CEO of WVU Medicine East, which includes WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center, WVU Medicine Jefferson Medical Center, and their affiliated clinics. O’Hern’s first day will be Monday, Nov. 4.

The staffing crisis at D.C.’s 911 call center has gotten so bad that the agency is offering bonuses to staff members simply for showing up for every scheduled shift.
