Thousands of Catholics will parade down Meridian Street and Capital Avenue on Saturday to celebrate the revival of the Eucharist as part of the National Eucharistic Congress. About 50,000 people traveled nationwide to downtown Indianapolis as part of a three-year movement in the Catholic Church in hopes of addressing American Catholics' spiritual apathy toward the Eucharist after church leaders discovered only a third of American Catholics, believe that Jesus Christ's presence resides in the Eucharist. This is a core belief of Catholicism.

The town hall, which was free and open to the public, is part of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus’ statewide town hall series that provides opportunities for Hoosiers to learn more about the Indiana General Assembly’s 2024 session as well as opportunities for the public to provide insight for the Indiana General Assembly’s 2025 session.
