AUBURN — The Auburn Farmers and Cultural Market at the Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex at 203 Pakachoag St. runs on Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and ends Aug 29. The Summer in the Park concert series, happening right at the market starting at 6 p.m. at the Riley-Pappas Performance Pavilion, will offer up a new band each week paying tribute to great artists, like the Beatles and Tom Petty, or great music of past decades like the 60's, 70's and 80's.

Mass. weather: Chance of rain, thunderstorms almost daily this week
After a pleasant day with highs in the mid-80s, Massachusetts will experience unsettled weather Monday evening that could be marked by heavy rainfall and localized flooding. As we all know the 4th of July recently passed and Massachusetts is the only state that has a law against consumer fireworks including buying, selling, and using. Some folks agree with this law while others think it's complete nonsense. In addition, this law doesn't seem to be enforced in Massachusetts at least not in my area. So, why even have the law if it's not being enforced? Either way, the law is the law.
