Hannibal man, two juveniles in custody after robbery of church Tuesday morning
HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal man is in the Marion County Jail and has been charged with accessory to a burglary. The 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant on Tuesday, July 16 for Caleb S. Nelson, 19. The charges stem from an incident that began on Monday at approximately 10 a.m. in the 500 block of Munger. Officials with Compassion Church discovered their building had been ransacked and items were missing.
Reorganized course helps Hannibal Cannibal attract 1,800 runners, set fundraising record
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Regional Foundation was the host of the 29th annual Hannibal Cannibal, sponsored by Advance Physical Therapy, on July 6. The opportunity to run a once-in-a-lifetime course because of Missouri 79 construction helped boost registrations to nearly 1,800 participants, helping raise an all-time high of more than $72,000. Money raised in this year’s race will support Hannibal Regional Foundation’s Heart Hero Campaign, which is raising funds to support Hannibal Regional’s new heart center and new services offered at the heart center, including open heart surgery.
