Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., says Vice President Kamala Harris is “the one who has the history and has the chops” to deliver for Americans on two crucial issues: reproductive rights and lowering costs for working families.

“Kamala has a long history of fighting for families, and particularly fighting for women and access to health care overall,” Warren said in an interview with PBS News on Night 3 of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Warren, who helped create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau under President Barack Obama and ran against both Harris and President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential primaries, said she feels “really good” about the economic policies Harris has proposed, such as going after corporate price gougers and helping first-time homebuyers.

She also criticized former President Donald Trump’s tax cuts for “millionaires, billionaires and giant corporations” and warned that Project 2025 would raise taxes for middle class families.

When asked if she thinks the country is ready to elect a woman president, Warren said she sees a changed America today compared to before 2016.

“I think this is not just Kamala Harris’ moment, I think this is the moment for the United States of America, and I’m loving it,” she said.
