Single-vehicle crash in Pea Ridge leaves two dead

PEA RIDGE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Pea Ridge on Sunday afternoon, according to a social media post from the Pea Ridge Police Department.

Cody Baker, 34, of Pea Ridge, in a 2002 GMC Sierra was traveling northbound around 4:30 p.m. on Hayden Road near Gates Lane at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle, preliminary investigations showed. The vehicle rolled and crashed into trees.

Baker and the passenger, Kerry Zingerella, 50, were killed in the crash, the post said.

No other vehicle or passengers were involved in the crash.

PRPD said the Pea Ridge Fire Department, Benton County Sheriff’s Office and the Benton County Coroner assisted in the investigation.
