    Peabody man plans on spending $1 million lottery prize on family

    SALEM, Mass. (WWLP) – A man from Peabody has won the $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Double Your Money” instant ticket game.

    According to the Massachusetts Lottery, Frederico Sampaio of Peabody chose to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes. Sampaio said that he plans on putting his winnings toward his family.

    The winning ticket was purchased at RX3 Energy in Salem, and the retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale of the ticket.
