Whooping Cough creeping its way through Roanoke again
ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The highly contagious illness known as Pertussis (Whooping Cough) is present in Roanoke. Although the symptoms are milder in older children and adults, the same thing can’t be said about younger children, and as they get ready to go back to school, it is encouraged they get immunized before it can potentially spread through the hallways.
