{KXLG – Brookings, SD} The Brookings Regional Humane Society (BRHS) is facing a temporary closure of its animal intake services due to a large influx of animals. In coordination with Brookings Community Service Officers, undertook an urgent animal intake operation involving over 55 cats, kittens, and four dogs from a single household. The homeowner had unfortunately passed away, leaving the animals in need of shelter and care.

The Madison 14U VFW baseball team is heading to state, after taking the Region 3A tournament on Tuesday. Madison won games over Volga and Flandreau on Monday to open play.
