Community raising money to repair storm damage at 102-year-old WWII vet's Benton home
Community members hope that an online fundraiser will cover the expenses for repairing the damage to a local World War II veteran's home caused by one of last week's storms. Organizer Todd Adcock, a contactor from Haughton, launched the fundraiser on GoFundMe on Tuesday for the benefit of Charles Evans, 102, a Benton resident who served in the U.S. Navy during the second world war, according to the fundraiser.
