Investigation ongoing after armed robbery at Upstate gas station

Authorities are looking for the public's help in locating an armed robbery suspect. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office responded around 3PM Sunday, to a reported robbery at the Shell Gas Station on Easley Highway in Pelzer.

The Sheriff's Office says the suspect went into the store with a mask on his face and held the cashier at gunpoint. The suspect then fled in his vehicle after making off with about a 1,000 dollars cash.

The suspect is described as a 6foot tall black male in his mid to late 20's. He was seen leaving the area in a blue Nissan Sentra sedan. The robbery remains under investigation.
