Twin sisters in the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol bring a family passion to rowing in the water.
In the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol, these twin sisters find that saving lives runs in the family."We've grown up with our dad being a lifeguard with the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol. As soon as we were sixteen, we joined the patrol, and it's been the best decision ever," said Molly Quinn.Trained and inspired by their father, the recent high school grads prepare to continue rowing together in college."The beach patrol, it's just been so good to me as a person. And then to be able to share with my children, it's just been awesome," said Lieutenant with the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol, Tim Quinn.The twins both prepare to attend the University of Tennessee."There's a support network there for them, not just with each other, but the team as well. Brave Act: Man Dies Saving Kids from River in NJ
Pablo Hernandez Cruz — InAtlantic County, New Jersey, a man who prevented two kids from drowning in the Great Egg Harbor River has passed away. The 49-year-old Pablo Hernando Cruz of Mays Landing has been identified. This incident took place in Hamilton Township's Weymouth Furnace County Park. Two kids allegedly went swimming there, which is against the rules. There are several signs warning people not to swim that are posted in both Spanish and English. The kids began to have some trouble in the water, according to the investigators. Cruz is said to have entered at that point to assist them.

Ocean County To Preserve More Land
MANCHESTER – Mayor Robert Arace provided an update on an ongoing concern of residents and a land preservation plan during a recent township council meeting. “For the past 18 months the township administrator and Tax Accessor Martin Lynch has been working very closely with the Ocean County Land Trust Fund. There is a piece of property on Route 571, 88 acres, with a court settlement agreement that would allow for 440 homes,” Mayor Arace reported.
