Trenton Police Department Reports Multiple Incidents on July 4, 2024
TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Trenton Police Department, Detective Lieutenant Lisette Rios reported the following incidents in the City of Trenton on July 4, 2024:. At approximately 9:50 p.m. on July 4, 2024, Trenton Police Communications received a call of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Division Street and South Clinton Avenue Patrol Bureau officers responded to the scene and observed an older juvenile victim in the roadway, injured and unresponsive. The victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center with serious injuries and remains unresponsive. Trenton Police Department Detective Vishan Singh and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team were notified and responded. They discovered the victim was riding a Razor scooter on South Clinton Avenue, toward Chestnut Avenue, when it struck a Toyota Sienna that was on Division Street heading toward South Broad Street Det. Singh will continue the investigation with the assistance of the Serious Collision Response Team.
South Jersey nonprofit 'Paws Healing Heroes' pairs service dogs with veterans in need
As a military veteran, Mark Eberle knew far too well the struggles of returning to civilian life.Once seeing how service dogs made the difference for fellow veterans, his mission became Paws Healing Heroes.This South Jersey nonprofit pairs dogs with those who served, so no veteran's needs are forgotten."Our goal is to rescue dogs from shelters and foster programs and train them for disabled veterans like myself," said Co-Founder and President of Paws Healing Heroes, Mark Eberly.Their training of the animals occurs at Alpha & Omega Working Dogs."It heals me along the process. Woman struck by SUV and SEPTA bus, killed in Northeast Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman was struck by multiple vehicles including a SEPTA bus and killed early Saturday morning in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.The 66-year-old woman was in the 5800 block of Frankford Avenue by Wissinoming Park when she was hit by a white Dodge Durango.The impact knocked her into the path of a SEPTA bus coming from the opposite way, which also struck her, police said.The Dodge and the bus both stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.The woman was pronounced dead at the scene just before 1:30 a.m.
