    Penn Yan man pleads guilty to drug sale in Schuyler County

    SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. ( WETM ) – A Penn Yan man is set to be sentenced later this summer after he pleaded guilty to selling a narcotic in Schuyler County.

    According to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office, Ted. E Miller, 66, pleaded guilty to the charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, on June 20 in Schuyler County Court.

    In court, Miller admitted to selling a narcotic drug to someone in Schuyler County. According to the District Attorney’s release, the narcotic drug sold by Miller contributed to the death of that person shortly after the sale.

    Miller is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 29, 2024, by Hon. Matthew C. Hayden. The case was prosecuted by Schuyler County Chief Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Hourihan.
