WVU’s Todd Duncan win SE Amateur, punches ticket to U.S. Amateur Golf Championship
WVU’s golf program will be well represented at this year’s U.S. Amateur Golf Championship. West Virginia native Todd Duncan became the third Mountaineer golfer to qualify for the sport’s top amateur event. Duncan shot -5 (65) in the first and only round of the Southeastern Amateur qualifying tournament at Country Club of Columbus golf course in Columbus, Georgia.

Roane General Hospital begins renovation project
SPENCER, W.Va. — Construction is beginning on a renovation project at Roane General Hospital in Spencer. The hospital will use $5.4 million to improve its air handling and wiring systems. Hospital CEO Doug Bentz said some of the much-needed updates came to light even more during the covid pandemic.
