Barbour County man charged in domestic assault investigation
MOATSVILLE, W.Va. — A suspect from Moatsville is behind bars after police say he assaulted a woman and fled from police over the weekend. Deputies from the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene in the Arden area Saturday and witnessed Christopher Wagner, 33, slamming a woman to the ground by the throat. When deputies ordered Wagner to stop, he fled on foot from the area.
West Virginia Loses in 5-0 Shut Out to Trenton

Area-Wide Rain Showers and Storms Return Tomorrow
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - As the area remains under drought conditions, partial relief is on the way in the form of showers and thunderstorms throughout the start of the week. Non-severe showers and storms arrive later in the morning tomorrow and will continue into the early afternoon. Showers remain in the mountains until late tomorrow, with conditions drying for most of the area on Tuesday. More rain chances are set to pick up throughout the middle to end of the week as a stationary front remains over NCWV for the week. Temperatures remain at or below average throughout the week as we hope to see improvements to our drought conditions over the next 2 weeks. Man faces murder charges after body discovered in Vienna, police say
VIENNA, W.Va. (WCHS) — A body was discovered in Wood County on Saturday evening, kicking off a death investigation and an arrest, police say. Reports came in just before 4:30 p.m. of an unresponsive person in an apartment on the1200 block of 19th Street. Upon arrival, Vienna police discovered a deceased female, Morgan Lee Lott, 22, and began collecting evidence and interviews, according to a news release from the Vienna Police Department.
