During my recent visit to Old City Coffee: Pad Annex, I decided to try their matcha latte. It was decent, but I'd recommend adding a shot or two of espresso to enhance the flavor.

The place seems to be a hidden gem for coffee lovers, with one of my fellow patrons raving about their iced coffee. They had a minor mix-up with the order, but the staff was quick to correct it, showcasing their excellent customer service. I can't help but wish there was a branch closer to my place, it's definitely a spot I'd frequent more often.

However, not all experiences were perfect. A mocha latte left a sour taste, quite literally, for one customer. It wasn't the usual bitter flavor that coffee enthusiasts love, but an odd sourness that was hard to place. On the brighter side, their English Breakfast tea received high praise, even from a British patron, which is quite an endorsement considering the Brits know their tea!

So, if you're in Philly and looking for a good cup of coffee or tea, Old City Coffee: Pad Annex might just be the place for you. Just remember, if you're ordering the matcha latte, consider adding an espresso shot or two.
