Stepping into Buddakan, you're immediately greeted by a majestic 16-inch Buddha statue, setting the tone for a unique dining experience in Philadelphia. This spot is a haven for modern Asian cuisine lovers, with a well-stocked bar to boot. Their signature dishes, such as the tea smoked spareribs, miso tuna tatare, and kobe beef carpaccio, are a must-try.
The ambiance is amazing, making it perfect for just about any occasion. The food is consistently on point, from appetizers to dessert. During my visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. I found myself devouring my entire entree and dessert, a rarity for me. One minor hiccup was the fruit in my drink still having the sticker on it, but it was a minor issue that didn't dampen the overall experience.
On a special visit to Philly, I had the pleasure of dining at Buddakan. The food was delightful, elevating familiar Chinese dishes to a whole new level. The server's recommendation to share everything due to the large dish sizes was spot on. The calamari salad and lamb chops are not to be missed! The team's attention to small details and thoughtful preparation and presentation of the food truly made the visit special. I can't wait to return to Buddakan!
