If you're a fan of authentic Italian pizza and gelato, Mercurio's Shadyside is a must-visit. The Margherita pizza with its red sauce is a personal favorite, and the green tea peach gelato is a delightful surprise. The thin crust pizzas, wood-fired in an imported Italian oven, are simply phenomenal. The Margherita and Bianca pizzas are a testament to the beauty of simplicity, while the more complex Lasagna pizza is a treat for the taste buds.

The Prosciutto pizza also comes highly recommended. The house-made mozzarella and sauce are incredible, and the quick service is a bonus. The gelato selection is vast, with many flavors to choose from. The chocolate gelato is a crowd-pleaser, but I'm excited to try different flavors on my next visit.

The outdoor seating is a great spot for people-watching, although the tables can be a bit wobbly. The indoor seating can be tight, so it might not be the best choice for large groups. Despite these minor inconveniences, the delicious food and excellent service make Mercurio's Shadyside a place I'll definitely return to.
