I recently had the pleasure of dining at OTARU Japanese Restaurant in Pittsburgh, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment I walked in, the neat attire requirement and the fresh ambiance set a high expectation, which was met and exceeded. The variety of dishes, from the katsu sando to the uni pasta and the beautifully presented sushi and hand rolls, were not only a feast for the eyes but also a delight for the palate. The Treasure Box was a unique treat, and each dish was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and customer experience.

The scenic location added to the charm, with stunning views of Pittsburgh enhancing our dining experience. Although the service was a tad slow, it was understandable given that it was a new establishment still smoothing out its operations. The staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout our meal.

If you're in PGH and craving authentic Japanese cuisine, OTARU is a must-visit. The fresh seafood, exceptional dishes like the melt-in-your-mouth salmon and crispy yet silky agedashi tofu, and the overall atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a date night or a special occasion. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
